how do I book you as my photographer?
Great! Let's get started, you can get in touch with me via the Contact page. I will then check my availability for your wedding day and if I'm available, a deposit of £200 will guarantee your booking. The remaining balance is required to be settled one month before your wedding day. Bookings are also filling up fast for 2019, so if you would like to check that your date is available, then please, do not hesitate to contact me.
does the price include travel?
Yes. Prices are inclusive of travel within a 200 mile round trip of the Ards Peninsula, Northern Ireland. If your location is further than this there may be a small additional cost to cover travel expenses.
what equipment do you use?
I use two cameras, a Canon 5D mark III and a Canon 6D. I use a range of Canon's top of the range 'L' lenses and some of the stunning new Sigma 'ART' lenses. All of the photographs you see on this site have been taken with them. Although I try to use natural light when I can, I use Canon Speedlite flashguns in case of a situation where the natural light isn't strong enough. I always carry backup equipment as a precaution.
do you stay for the full duration of the day?
The short answer is yes but I can stay for as long as you wish. I offer the full day coverage from bridal preparation in the morning, through to the first dance in the evening. If you prefer, I can tailor a package to suit your needs.
how long will it take for me to receive my images?
Wedding photography images are available for you to view via the online gallery normally within six to eight weeks after your wedding day. For wedding albums, once the design has been finalised, your album should arrive within six weeks from the design being sent to the album supplier, the delivery times can vary with albums depending on the time of year and how busy the supplier is.
do you work alone?
Sometimes, yes but at most weddings my fiancé, Caroline, is usually with me at weddings to act as a second photographer / assistant and to keep me in line as always! I don't currently charge extra for the hire of a 2nd photographer as I cannot always guarantee her availability.
how do you describe your style?
Put simply, I like to describe my style as personal, yet unobtrusive photojournalism. In addition to this, I am always happy to take the more 'traditional' photographs which are still important to a lot of couples.
do you edit all of the photos?
Yes, all of the images will go through a thorough editing process with professional software to ensure I am delivering the best final results to you. I will provide you with non-watermarked, high resolution, print-ready images on the USB drive.
do we need a permit to have photographs taken in certain locations?
If you're having your photos taken at the venue where you are getting married, it is highly unlikely you will require a permit. However, there are some locations such as national parks, National Trust areas etc. If this is required, it will be up to the client to gain this. If you need help finding out if certain places require a permit, I will do my best to assist.
are you insured?
Absolutely, yes. I have full public liability insurance.
